ABOUT THE FARM
Little Fields Farm was founded in the spring of 2015 on a 1/4 acre of rented land north of London, ON. The farm now produces on 5 acres in Bright, ON, with an acre in vegetable production and 4 acres in pasture for the farm's pigs and poultry! The farm's founding principles are to produce good food in a way that works with the natural environment and the natural instincts of the animals we raise, and to keep the power and knowledge of sustainable food production in the hands of the local community.
You can find the farm's produce and eggs every Saturday at the Kitchener Farmer's Market, or through our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program that supplies London, Kitchener, and the local area. Pastured pork, turkey, chicken and eggs are sold on-farm by appointment.
ABOUT THE FARMER
Claire Poulton is one of a growing number of young organic farmers who come from non-farming backgrounds. Claire has always cared deeply about environmental issues and was pursuing a degree in Environmental Studies when a summer job on an organic farm opened her eyes to the possibility of farming for a living. The next three years were spent interning on organic farms in Ontario and British Columbia, where she developed the skills and knowledge to start a farm of her own.
